Job Description Job Description BronxWorks helps individuals and

staff provide compassionate support, life-enhancing services, and
community-based resources to help empower each family. Together, we
guide families on their journey back to independence and into
permanent housing. RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise case work staff
through weekly individual and monthly group meetings Review case
records and reports at least monthly Direct staff interventions in
difficult or crisis situations Maintain and monitor program
variance reports to ensure statistical goals are being met Monitor
program for quality assurance and contract compliance Provide each
staff member with monthly progress report and yearly performance
appraisals Assist in the development and implementation of services
for clients Maintain a case load and provide direct services to
client, including intake, engagement, assessment, service plan
development, referral, advocacy, counseling, exit summaries and
follow-up Interview and recommend staff for hire Submit reports to
supervisor monthly, or more frequently as required Represent the
agency at meetings and events Act as a liaison between BronxWorks
and other CBO’s, the area community district, and government
agencies Perform additional duties as assigned PROGRAM SPECIFIC
RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee case management, ensuring uniform quality
of services and compliance with regulatory agencies. Recruit,
train, supervise and motivate a team of well-informed, professional
staff. Intervene in major crisis with clients, staff and agencies,
ensuring well-being and compliance with laws and government
regulations. Implement goals for relocating the maximum number of
homeless families to appropriate permanent housing. Coordinate an
inter-agency program of comprehensive social services, providing
specialized mental health service. Prepare social services
statistics and reports for performance analysis and program
planning. Formulate and implement social services policies and
procedures. QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in Social Work or
related field LMSW is required within 6 months of hire if not
obtained as of hire date. Prior supervisory experience working in a
social service agency preferred Proficiency in modern business
communications including personal computers, electronic mail,
voicemail, facsimile, and copier equipment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods. Ability to
occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability to stand,
walk, or sit for long periods of time. Ability to bend and retrieve
objects and/or documents. Ability to travel in the boroughs of New
York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation.
Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable
amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement
weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work.
