Job Description Performs activities related to the set-up and operation of progressive, compound, and secondary stamping dies utilizing knowledge of stamping applications. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Completes die set-ups for production in accordance with Work Order. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Operates all standard press room machinery including peripheral press equipment and production support equipment. Monitors operating rates of primary dies and secondary operations and recommends changes to process documentation, where appropriate. Works with toolmakers or Tool Room Manager to troubleshoot stamping problems related to slug pulling, misfeeds, scrap build up and segregation, part ejection, and product dimensional nonconformance. Performs short term preventive maintenance on production equipment, as required, in accordance with Lyons Tool & Die's documented procedure. Programs Wintriss SmartPac's, Servo Feeds and Tonnage Monitors. Familiarity with Sensor Technology preferred.
