Description Position at Bob's Stores The IT Help Desk Specialist is an integral part of IT Operations ensuring the highest levels of service and support to Home office, Warehouse, and store associates as well as remote users on company supported computer applications/platforms, point of sale terminals and in-store applications. This is a hybrid position with work being done in the office and remotely. Hours: Sunday 9:30 am - 8:00 pm Mon, Tues 9:45 am - 9:15 pm Wed 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Essential Job Functions/ResponsibilitiesRespond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone or electronicallyDiagnose, research and resolve technical hardware and software issuesDocument known issues and resolutions or workaroundsFollow standard help desk proceduresAssist in administering help desk softwareIdentify and escalate situations requiring urgent attentionStay current with system information, changes and updatesProvide support for stores as part of an on-call rotation after hoursJob RequirementsPrevious Work Experience: 2 years' experience in the information technology field or in a related area preferred. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the information technology industry.Education: BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a technical discipline. Or, experience equivalent.Computer Skills and Software: Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)General Server and Personal Computer knowledgeBasic familiarity with the range and variety of software and systems used in the Stores and Home Office environments is a plus.
