The Impact You'll Make in this Role

The person hired for the position of Engagement Manager (EM) is accountable for their team's schedule driven implementation for clients who have purchased 3M products and require a high degree of implementation assistance due to the complexity of their operating environment. The EM manages project portfolios with staffed project implementation teams, and communicates project status with client sponsors, key stakeholders, and 3M management.

Responsibilities and/or Accountability include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide day to day oversight of the implementation process to clients on 3M HIS applications
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders to foster a partnership between 3M HIS and its clients.
  • Communicate internal and external messages, enacting as the projects' central point of contact.
  • Client implementation management through process oversight, status updates, and support management.
  • Client consulting by coordinating Technical, Operational, and training assistance to optimize system utilization and efficiency.
  • Client/Executive relationship through liaisons with Sales and client's management team.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in Healthcare Information in lieu of the Bachelor's degree education requirement
  • Five (5) combined years' experience in Health Information, and/or IT arena
  • One (1) year of project management experience in healthcare and/or information technology sector
  • One (1) year of experience overseeing technology project teams
  • Three (3) years experience working directly with clients

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and/or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
  • Working knowledge of Health Information Management (HIM) and/or Health Information technology (HIT)
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software and web technologies
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Skilled at: time management, budgeting, analytical/critical thinking and problem solving, decision making, leading and influencing, delegation, teamwork, negotiations, conflict management, stress management and adaptability
  • The ability to work in fast-paced environments and maintain excellent customer relations skills.

Location: Remote

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic
