Group One Trading is looking to hire a full-time Desktop Engineer
who is passionate about all aspects of user support, including
monitoring, actively engaging end-users, troubleshooting, and
providing a high level of customer service. In this hands-on,
front-line support role on our Systems Team, we desire a candidate
with strong problem-solving, customer-service, critical thinking,
and communication skills who can collaborate across functional

Desktop Engineer possesses the following: Minimum of 2 years of
experience working in a technical role Proficient in providing
support, troubleshooting, and configuring system hardware Expertise
in troubleshooting Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems,
including Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Active Directory/AAD/Entra, Azure, DHCP,
DNS, Exchange Online, and deployment of Windows Updates Familiarity
with Microsoft SQL Server & SQL Database Management Experience
working with a VMware vSphere environment Demonstrated proactive
problem-solving and critical thinking skills Understanding of
fundamental networking concepts, including TCP/IP, FTP, and routing
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and crouch beneath desks for
equipment installation Strong communication and collaboration
skills with cross-functional teams Experience with
scripting/programming languages and tools like Python, C#, or
PowerShell would be a plus! Are you self-motivated and

Desktop Engineer position! WHAT TO EXPECT AS A DESKTOP ENGINEER
Within 1 month , you complete your initial orientation as well as
become familiar with our environment, our infrastructure, and our
business. You begin a comprehensive, cross-functional training plan
to learn more about every aspect of our firm. Within 3 months , you
will be proficient in system monitoring, proactively identifying
potential issues in the proprietary trading system and responding
effectively to incidents. You will begin to gain confidence in
performing software maintenance tasks, troubleshooting basic
networking issues, and providing user computer setup support.
Additionally, your collaborative skills and proactive
problem-solving approach will be evident as you actively engage
with teams, contribute to documentation efforts, and propose
improvements to enhance system stability and performance. Within 6
months , you will have gained proficiency in troubleshooting
complex issues and can provide timely and effective support to all
users. Additionally, you will begin to take on a leadership role in
collaborative efforts, contributing significantly to proposing
system enhancements, and fostering a culture of continuous
improvement within the team. This is a hybrid role that requires a
significant in-office presence to work directly with our technology
