(United States of America) Salary Range: $71,612.39 - $110,999.20
The Provider Recruiter is responsible for leading full-cycle
recruitment efforts for providers (physicians, nurse practitioners,
physician assistants, CRNAs, certified nurse midwives,
psychologists) within Albany Med. This role partners closely with
the Director of Physician Recruitment and department leadership to
understand hiring needs, create effective recruitment strategies,
and ensure a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. The Provider
Recruiter also represents the organization at professional events
and works to build lasting relationships with candidates, programs
and professional networks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with department chairs and administrators to understand
hiring needs and workforce planning. Review CVs/resumes and
employment applications from candidates. Screen and interview
candidates accordingly. Draft, update, and maintain accurate job
advertisements and job descriptions to reflect current needs and
compliance standards. Collaborate with the Recruitment Coordinator
to schedule and facilitate candidate interviews and visits. Build
and maintain relationships with department leadership and
administrators to provide consistent recruitment support and
guidance. Cultivate relationships with provider candidates to
ensure engagement throughout the full-cycle recruitment process.
Establish and maintain connections with residency and fellowship
programs to promote opportunities and strengthen the candidate
pipeline. Develop and implement sourcing strategies including job
boards, professional associations, academic and specialty networks,
social media and direct outreach. Represent the organization at job
fairs, residency/fellowship program events and professional
conferences. Track recruitment activity, candidate progress and
market trends to inform strategy and reporting. Ensure a positive
candidate experience aligned with the mission and values of the
medical center/college. Serve as a backup to Recruitment and
Onboarding Coordinator during on-campus interviews and new provider
orientation. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources,
Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field
- required 4-6 years in provider recruitment as part of an academic
medical center - required Strong knowledge of sourcing tools,
recruitment technology, and provider compensation structures.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability
to build trust and maintain relationships across diverse
stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to
manage multiple searches and priorities. Certified
Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CPRP) Upon Hire -
preferred Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI Upon Hire -
preferred Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)-HRCI Upon
Hire - preferred Equivalent combination of relevant education and
