Westaff is currently hiring for energetic proven winners who are goal setters and have pride in the work they do. This is a great opportunity to work closely with our customers and clients in the East Hartford, CT area.

Job Duties Include:
The recruiter role is the cornerstone of our business. Plain and simple, we get people and we put them to work! In this role, you'll be responsible for recruiting and interviewing prospective employees for various open positions in our company. To ensure success as a staffing specialist, you should be able to make sound recruitment decisions to match the right candidates for the right positions.

• Using your knowledge of recruiting techniques you will source, screen and evaluate candidates so you can make excellent hiring decisions.
• Collaborate with the team to create a high energy results-oriented culture
• Network and promote Westaff and career opportunities at job fairs and professional networking groups and associations
• Perform skills evaluations, background checks, and employment verifications
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Onboard and provide new hire orientations and safety trainings to associates
• Build strong relationships with associate employees so they refer their family and friends to us
• Generate referrals and sales leads by building and maintaining relationships with clients
• Supervise and appraise the productivity and efficiency of associates through performance reviews and quality control checks
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience Recruiters preferred but willing to train energetic and service based individuals.

  • Interested in growing with usThe following qualifications will lead to success in this role:
    • College degree is preferred but not necessary
    • Professional work experience in a similar position/field (including hospitality, restaurant or retail management, inside sales)
    • Highly organized, with impeccable time-management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong work ethic and results orientation
