Join us, and become one of the people who Make It Possible. Deliver care you can be proud of as a Sr. Laboratory Technologist conducting routine and complex tests on clinical specimens. Perform a variety of automated and manual tests in all lab areas, which include Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis and Microbiology following established procedures and without immediate supervision. May be assigned to a specific section or may rotate in all sections. Perform and interpret clinical laboratory tests used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease, while assisting in the training of new employees and providing staff in-services & competency assessments as required. Ensure the laboratory operates in accordance with regulatory standards from the Joint Commission, CMS, CAP and NYSDOH, all while interacting with various levels of leadership across other departments, outside agencies, medical staff, staff members and patients. This is a full time evening shift position including rotating weekends and holidays. Location is our NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital campus in Upper Westchester County/Cortlandt Manor. Preferred Criteria - ASCP certification Required Criteria - BS degree from accredited college, or equivalent curriculum - New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York State Education Department.
