Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system renowned for
our medical education, research initiatives, and superior patient
care, is seeking a dedicated Per Diem Clinical Nurse II to join our
night team. This role is critical in ensuring our standards of care
are met through the night, managing both emergency situations and
ongoing patient care. The successful candidate will demonstrate a
deep understanding of nursing practices, coupled with the ability
to function effectively during standalone night shifts. This

exceptional patient care according to the established guidelines of
nursing practice. Monitor patient health conditions and communicate
effectively with doctors and healthcare team members to manage
comprehensive care plans. Administer medications appropriately and
ensure all interventions are properly documented in patient
records. Respond to medical emergencies with proficiency and in
accordance with set protocols. Educate patients and their families
on health maintenance and disease prevention. Maintain a fully
stocked and prepared environment ensuring all equipment is
functioning properly. Proven ability to manage acute patient care
in a fast-paced setting. Strong interpersonal and communication
skills Adept at multi-tasking and critical decision-making High
proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records
(EHR) Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license. CPR/BLS
certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
