Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 16, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg/Secure Unit night shift position in New York, requiring a current NY RN license and Epic EMR proficiency. Details - Work in a secure Med-Surg unit within a hospital setting - Night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM - 13-week contract assignment - Epic EMR experience is required - No blocked scheduling is permitted Requirements - Active NY RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum of 2 years of recent specialty experience required - Certifications from AHA or RQI are required - Epic EMR experience is mandatory - US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted) - No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months - Medical exemption for flu vaccine must be signed by a licensed professional Additional Information - Competency testing is required and must be passed within two attempts if under two years' experience - More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination and make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks - RTO must be requested at the time of consideration - Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment - Candidates residing within specific nearby counties are not eligible - Travelers may submit to only one position at a time American Traveler Job ID P-673905.
