This Travel RN opportunity at Burdett Birth Center is ideal for maternal-newborn nurses who want a supportive, collaborative LDRP environment during a short-term assignment. /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Troy, NY 12180/n - Facility: Burdett Birth Center, LDRP unit/n - Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, L&D RN/n - Assignment Type: Travel RN, On-site/n - Start Date: February 22, 2026/n - End Date: May 23, 2026/n - Contract Duration: 13 weeks/n - Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 – $2,270/n - Openings: 1/n - Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend; holidays discussed upon hire/n /n/nRequired Qualifications/n /n - Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required, including LDRP model experience preferred/n - Active RN license that meets New York state requirements/n - Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, C-EFM required/n - Comfortable functioning in the OR and serving as baby RN when needed/n - Experience with maternal-newborn assessment, fetal monitoring, and newborn stabilization/n - Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and documentation skills in electronic health records/n /n/nKey Responsibilities/n /n - Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases/n - Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using continuous electronic fetal monitoring and escalate concerns promptly/n - Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered; support pain management and patient comfort/n - Assist providers during vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including in the OR setting; act as baby RN as needed/n - Deliver newborn care and stabilization, including neonatal resuscitation per NRP protocols/n - Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, infant care, and safe sleep practices/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes/n - Document accurately in electronic health records in accordance with unit standards and patient safety protocols/n /n/nWhy This Travel Nursing Job/n This Travel RN position is an excellent fit for L&D RNs seeking short-term New York nursing jobs in a supportive LDRP setting.
