Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system combining a
state-of-the-art hospital with a premier medical college, is
looking for a Clinical Nurse II to join our Antepartum and Labor
and Delivery team. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional
care to expectant mothers in the antepartum period through to labor
and delivery, ensuring both maternal and fetal well-being
throughout the childbirth process. Provide high-quality nursing
care to expectant mothers in the antepartum, during labor, and
postpartum phases. Monitor maternal physical condition, assess
labor progression, and manage pain relief options. Educate and
support mothers and families through the childbirth process.
Implement patient care plans and conduct patient assessments.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver
integrated care. Adhere to hospital protocols and standards of
care, ensuring patient safety at all times. Document all patient
care and interventions in patient medical records. Advanced
knowledge of antepartum and labor and delivery practices. Strong
communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to react decisively
in high-stress environments. Proficiency in Electronic Medical
Records (EMR) systems. Skill in patient education and advocacy.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Registered
Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Certification in Basic
Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
certification preferred. Certification in Inpatient Obstetric
Nursing (RNC-OB) or similar is advantageous.
