As a Physician Assistant, you will be assisting in the Operating Room, and examining pre and post op surgical patients. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, experience in a medical and surgical environment, and has strong communication and interpersonal skills. Two years of experience in the OR preferred. Current NYS Physician Assistant License required along with at least 1 year of clinical rotation in various medical, surgical and other specialty areas. Comprehensive compensation and benefits are offered. Responsibilities Writing orders for medications Reviewing lab results Providing post-discharge instructions Initiating and documenting patient plan of care Work closely with nurses, other Physician Assistants, and Physicians to formulate a full, comprehensive treatment plan Qualifications Valid state licensing required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with medical terminology and charting, Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
