Job Description Hiring: CNA – Long-Term Care (LTC) Location: Brooklyn, NY 11203 Shifts: Day / Evening / Night Pay: $20–$24/hr (without benefits) Contract: 3 months (possible extension) Key Skills: Knowledge of prevention of skin breakdown Compassionate communication and ability to follow verbal and written instructions Requirements: NYS CNA License BLS (AHA) High School Diploma or GED Completion of at least 100 hours from a NYS-approved CNA training program Duties: Assist residents with personal hygiene, including baths, showers, oral care, grooming, and dressing. Provide incontinent care, skin care, and reposition residents every 2–3 hours to prevent skin breakdown. Assist residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and use of mechanical lifts with proper assistance. Take and record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and document care accurately in the EMR. Assist with meals, feeding, hydration, and monitor and report inadequate intake or output. Observe residents for changes in physical condition or behavior and report promptly to the nurse. Support residents who are terminally ill, cognitively impaired, or require special assistance. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
