Job Description Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time position is available for a Physical Therapist to provide specialized services within a K-12 school setting located in New Britain, CT. This role is focused on delivering gross motor skills support and compensatory services to students, including those with limited mobility who require time in a stander. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans addressing gross motor skill development. Provide compensatory services tailored to the needs of students with physical limitations. Support students requiring mobility assistance, including time management and safe use of standers. Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes. Maintain detailed records of student progress and therapy sessions. Manage an elementary caseload with consistent scheduling for effective service delivery. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Physical Therapy license. Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings. Proficient in addressing gross motor skill development and mobility challenges. Familiarity with compensatory services and adaptive equipment such as standers. Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with school staff and families. Commitment to supporting diverse student needs and fostering inclusive environments. This is a contract position for the current school year (CSY), offering a 35-hour workweek. The role requires dedication to supporting childrens mobility and educational participation through targeted physical therapy interventions.
