A recognized health services organization in the Capital Region is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their staff in Albany as their new House Supervisor for the Weekends.About the Opportunity:Start Date: ASAPShift: NightsSchedule: Saturday & Sunday (rotated)Hours: 7am to 7pmSetting: Skilled Nursing FacilityPatient Population: PediatricResponsibilities:Respond to all resident emergent events and assures care is provided in an appropriate, timely mannerSupervise the nursing care of the residents provided by CCTs, CNAs, LPNs and other RNs who are working during assigned shiftMake independent decisions regarding nursing care based on sound principles of nursing practiceIndependently manage all staffing issues during time of duty, in compliance with facility policy and chain of commandMake rounds to all resident units at least twice a shiftEnsure environmental and infection control standards are maintainedProvide follow-up documentation regarding investigation and plan of action as necessaryActively participate in the Quality Improvement process through the completion of staff auditsConduct fire drills per facility policy and as directed by Nursing administration; complete required documentationEnsure compliance to facility Infection Control policies; initiate precautions as necessary and completes associated staff auditsPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:3+ years of Nursing experienceGraduate of an accredited School of NursingNYS Registered Nurse (RN) licenseExperience in Nursing ManagementExperience working with individual with Neurological Impairments and Medical FragilityKnowledge of Long Term Care regulationsDesired Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Nursingby Jobble
