Job Description:
The primary duty of the Project Manager, Software and
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) is to perform project management
duties for key projects within Mirion Technologies, Inc., North
American Industrial Group, with focus on SaaS development. These
duties include managing the projects from the ideation stage,
through development, and ultimately deployment with customers. This
manager will often be involved with several high-profile projects
concurrently.The Manager plans, organizes, monitors, and oversees
projects utilizing cross functional teams to deliver defined
requirements and meet company strategic objectives. The primary
purpose of this role is to conduct and oversee business-specific
software projects that are medium to large in size and highly
complex by applying cross-functional (or deep functional) expertise
in project management and SaaS business modeling. This includes
responsibilities for managing projects end-to-end through the
planning, development, execution, and implementation stages, while
adhering to enterprise project practices. Overall, this role
contributes to projects that ultimately drives business and
financial value and provides wide-scale improvements across the
business.Responsibilities - PrimaryPlans, documents, and executes
all phases of the project lifecycle, including scope management,
requirements management, work breakdown schedule and timeline
management, budget tracking, priority and dependency management,
and the assignment of roles and responsibilities.Develops detailed
work breakdown schedules, project estimates, and resource plans
that support scope and meet required target release dates.Conducts
and facilitates effective project meetings, including issue
tracking, status reports, and executive communications.Instruct
project teams in the use of daily management planning, especially
AGILE methods and VPM.Manage changes to the project scope, project
schedule and project costs using appropriate verification
techniques.Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to
document process and workflow.Ensures problems are effectively
escalated and crisis management activated, as needed.Drive project
risk management and mitigation strategies to ensure project
timeline and budgets targets are met.Apply schedule compression
techniques when appropriate to overcome schedule risk points.Meet
budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints
based on financial analysis.Establish, maintain, and manage
relationships, expectations, and deliverables with third
parties/vendors.Performs miscellaneous duties as

science, technology, or business.Experience4+ years of experience
managing cross-functional project teamsExperience in Software
development and deployment requiredSoftware project management is
greatly preferred, and experience with agile techniques a
plusExperience in Software as a Service (SaaS) projects is
preferred4+ years in an environment with Operational
Excellence/Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plusTechnical knowledge
of IT design, software and cloud architecture, and open source or
cloud-based solutions is a plus.Extensive consulting experience,
technical or business lead on projects and/or any prior leadership
role would be beneficial.Additional Skills and QualificationsShould
be confident, professional, and self-motivated.Should be a creative
thinker with an attention to detail.The ideal candidate will be an
effective communicator with polished presentation skills and
ability to communicate in both oral and written form.Requires both
computer and writing skills, with the ability to work on their own
initiative and as part of a team.Excel in building teams and
processes to deliver projects at high volume across multiple
stakeholders.Ability to interface with diverse team, including
software engineers, product managers, service team members, quality
engineers, contractors, and management.Advanced analytical and
problem-solving skills to evaluate business processes and recommend
effective solutions.Advanced organizational/time management and
project management skills and multitasking abilities.Advanced
knowledge of project development life cycle, including the ability
to coordinate and prioritize multiple complex projects.Ability to
lead and supervise others if required.Ability to analyze
requirements to ensure scope is being met on projects.Project
Management Professional Certification (PMP) is preferred.Scrum
