Job Description:
Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Manage the Services Software Engineering and Software Quality
Engineering team
- Manage Software product development team for software products
such as Genie, Apex, Horizon, etc…
- Work with Technical Services to schedule resources for
Technical Services Work Orders
- Software, Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and Service license
management
- Develop V&V testing baseline
- Manage QaSignature submittals and evaluate daily test
reports
- Monitor, manage and enforce QMS quality requirements
- Maintain Software Problem Reporting, Project Tracker and MPIF
Lotus Data bases
- Assign, manage and provide technical assistance for projects
undergoing V&V testing
- Interface with other teams and/or sites to resolve customer
related issues including, but not limited to assignment of SQA and
Service Engineering resources
- Develop, review, approve ECOs for releases
- General Management Responsibilities
- Review Customer Purchase orders for compliance, technical and
quoting.
- Maintain software compliance matrix and software distribution
libraries ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Interface with other departments and Product Line Managers
pertaining to quality, material availability and quality
requirements to meet customer or product requirements
- Technical acumen. Preferably electronics, Mechanical or
Science/Physics background
- Very good verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, typing/keyboarding skills and
written reporting skills.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office tools, SAP,
ServiceMax, Lotus Notes
- Well-disciplined, self-starter with an enthusiastic,
entrepreneurial spirit being able to work alone or with a
team.
- Must be logical and analytical in approaching solutions to
complex problems.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to multi-task PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Knowledge and proficiency of any of Canberra products such as
Hand Held Dosimetry, Ratemeters, Friskers, Portal Monitors,
Spectroscopy equipment,
- Experience using software tools, interfacing and diagnostic
programs.
- Experience with Configuration management tools (Git, Bitbucket,
Azure DevOps etc.)
- Nuclear Physics and Radiation Principles knowledge and
experience
- Complex system troubleshooting to resolution at modular and/or
component level
- Project Management skills a plus EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8-10 years in a Software Management position. Must have
excellent technical and customer relations experience to handle the
diversity of systems and their applications.
- Previous management experience is a plus.
- Science degree in Electronics, Nuclear Engineering or
equivalent preferred but not required. Some technical schooling
along with 4+ years related technical experience may be
substituted.
