Proud to be an equal opportunity employer.The MDT Portfolio Manager will provide Business Planning and Financial Planning and Analysis support for the Medical Devices Technology - R&D Global organization as well as the MDT Global PMO organization, where you will lead consolidation activities, partnering closely with other members of the PMO across regions globally. Business planning and management focused areas include multi-year strategic planning and management, investment strategy mix, portfolio planning and management, portfolio and operational finances and benchmarking/metrics. Portfolio includes investments and ongoing operational support (requiring budgetary spend). You will report into the Senior Manager, Medical Devices Technology - Portfolio Manager. This position will be the business operational lead providing internal consulting to the Medical Devices IT - R&D team with meaningful and actionable insights and analysis around financial consolidation and management, long term and short-term business planning, leading the process to develop strategic roadmaps and portfolio planning. You will conduct portfolio scenario analysis to inform executive leaders of recommendations, potential opportunities, relevant risks, and trade-offs to optimize the portfolio.Specific activities include, but are not limited to:* Lead activities related to budgeting and analysis for Business Plan, budget cycles, forecast updates, latest thinking, reporting of actuals, variance analysis, and Long Range Financial Plans* Coordinate, develop, and manage end-to-end consolidations of financial deliverables across various regions and portfolios for the Global MDT organization* Be the Finance Subject Matter Expert for the MDT PMO* Development of forecasts and actuals analysis and ensure timely and accurate submissions* Drive accountability and reporting accuracy through partnership with R&D team and Finance COE* Planning and management at the portfolio level: tracking of actuals and accruals; month end reporting and variance analysis; reconciliation with Finance during budgets and projections in conjunction with portfolio owner, approve spend on all investments* Assessment of the portfolio of investments. Maintenance of budget and cost plans with investment owners and senior leadership. Execution and analysis of monthly financial reporting. Providing robust portfolio reporting through defined dashboards; ensures governance* Oversee Demand Intake & Prioritization in alignment with the Medical Device Technology R&D team to ensure the delivery of business outcomes that deliver the greatest value to the organization and alignment with strategy.* Work closely with all portfolio partners (Epic Owners, Investment Owners, Portfolio Managers, GTS, AS, EMPO, Finance) to provide mentorship and ensure portfolio governance and adherence to global/enterprise process while driving adoption of the portfolio and program management tools and processes. * Proactively drive solutions that harmonize processes across R&D and the broader MDT PMO organization, and remove non-value add activities* Develop capabilities for IT cost and IT investment portfolio benchmarking to drive desired investment behaviors across the enterprise* Support the annual strategic planning and budgeting processes. Leads costs transparency/optimization initiatives.* Value realization: supports Business cases elaboration and Value realization tracking* Identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement within the context of financial management and portfolio management governanceQualifications* A BA/BS Degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * An advance degree, MBA, CMA, CPA or other financial certification is a plus* Minimum 8 years of professional experience with 4+ years finance/accounting experience required* Experience in coordinating, developing, and managing financial consolidations for deliverables across various organizations required* Experience in budgeting and analysis activities for Business Plan, budget cycles, forecast updates, latest thinking, reporting of actuals, variance analysis, and Long Range Financial Planning required* Experience in IT or Business Portfolio Management required * Advanced expertise in Excel and data visualization and analysis tools is required, Tableau is an asset* Advanced experience in creating and managing complex spreadsheets and transforming data into analysis and graphics which support decision making required* Analytical approach to work and attention to detail in financial reporting required* High numeracy and sound technical skills required* Knowledge of J&J Worldwide Financial Procedures preferred * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with well-developed facilitation and presentational skills* Ability to drive solutions that streamline processes and remove non-value add activities* Ability to operate independently within the guidelines of overall objectives* Ability to think strategically, organizational skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to take initiative and accountability* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across multiple organizations and global teams and time zones* Strong relationship management skills to establish and build healthy working environmentJohnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
