Job Description:

Job Summary: The Quality Program Manager operates with a strong focus on oversight of regulatory matters (DPH, CMS, DCF, Joint Commission). Acting as an internal subject matter expert for regulations which guide behavioral healthcare within all levels of care, the Quality Program Manager is responsible for full facilitation of the regulatory process - readiness, onsite review, corrective action planning, monitoring, and performance improvement. This position oversees certain organizational functions which have a direct impact on regulatory compliance, including but not limited to external reporting, policy management, and auditing processes. The Quality Program Manager supports Hartford Healthcare's two standalone Behavioral Health entities - Rushford Center and Natchaug Hospital, but will act as a system regulatory expert for the entire Behavioral Health Network. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following: ---Provide coordination and direction for accreditation and regulatory readiness activities, involving key stakeholders throughout the Behavioral Health Network, in order to maintain an environment that is receptive to the provision of high quality/safe care. ---Identifies trends and designs, develops, and implements performance improvement and monitoring activities to ensure high quality of care and regulatory compliance. Acts as a resource to the administrative team, department managers, medical staff and employees related to regulatory matters; provides interpretation and guidance to achieve regulatory compliance ---Actively participates in on site regulatory activities and facilitates the development of corrective action and monitoring plans ---Participates in or facilitates efforts and initiatives (System, Regional, and/or entity-specific) to improve systems and process within the organization; includes Quality Councils, Quality Committees, Policy Review . ---Aggregates and assists with the analysis of internal and external data, internal monitoring processes, and other quality functions to support improvement efforts. Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless approach to patient quality & safety and risk reduction. Maintains awareness of potentially serious or adverse events and ensures compliance with external reporting requirements. Participates in event reviews. ---Educates staff on the safety implications of regulatory issues. Qualifications Education: Bachelors of Science Degree Experience: Minimum of 5 years clinical experience Quality Improvement experience Registered Nurse preferred, other clinical healthcare professionals considered. Licensure, Certification, Registration: RN with CT License or relevant healthcare profession license as applicable We take great care of careers.
