Orion Talent, the nation's largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for Maintenance Mechanic positions with a company that manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry.

Position Details
Location: Meriden, CT
Compensation: $28 - $34/hour
Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday (7am-3:30pm)

Position Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as machine tools, hydraulic and mechanical presses, production machines and equipment. Services all vital factory systems; plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, heating and support equipment. Perform a wide variety of plant maintenance tasks as needed including:
--- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
--- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
--- Monitor, identify, and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, or atypical energy usage.
--- Perform troubleshooting and repair of production machinery.
--- Use hand and power tools.

Position Requirements
--- 4-6 years military experience in a mechanical or electrical role.
--- Experience performing unscheduled maintenance on mechanical systems.
--- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
--- Knowledge of blueprints and engineering drawings.
--- Ability to follow technical instructions.
