Job Description:
Job Duties: Identify new Biotech opportunities at start up level. Generate
sales leads and review with sales management. Be an expert in
Biotech processes to increase number of applications that have Pall
specified and therefore increase Pall sales. Educate and advise
customers on best suited Pall technology. Contribute to Sales and
Marketing in the planning and presentation of Biotech seminars.
Develop expertise by regular pan European and global communication
exchange of experiences, applications and technology training.
Contribute to tactical/ strategic plans as requested by commercial.
Maintain up to date awareness of relevant technical developments.
Review and update all Standard Work related to the Business
Development Manager role. Engage in further development, review
user requirements and bug fixing of the Topaz application.
Implement and train other team members, including Bioprocessing
Specialist. Analyze data from Topaz: funnel management, win/loss
analyses, customer relationship management push. Onboard & train
new Business Development Managers on standard work and practices.
Close collaboration with Bioprocess Specialists to increase trials
at customer site and to increase customer intimacy. Create a
communication channel between the Business Development Managers
team and the Account Manager in order to reinforce the role of the
Business Development Manager into biotech organization and
guarantee a good level of collaboration between the Account Manager
and the Business Development Manager in penetrating new and
existing accounts. Close collaboration with Drug Tracking Team to
follow up on account assignment, leads generation, drug trucking
information between countries. Define key performance indicators
(bowler, Performance for Growth) on a yearly basis, in
collaboration with sales leaders. Track key performance indicators
month by month, using bowler. Communicate with Hub Leader and
Business Development Managers in case of issues and define action
plan. Collaborate with Product Manager in organizing organic Voice
of Customer in biotech market. * Position is a telecommuting position and can be performed from
anywhere in the U.S. * Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings and
training courses, within the USA and internationally. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical, Biological
Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or
closely related field (willing to accept foreign education
equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience in job or in Biotech
Business Development involving, bio-processing and both upstream
and downstream commercial processing. Experience must include: Analyzing and recommending technologies
based on product specific details and understanding; Developing and
executing growth strategies and plans based on business models;
Performing and coordinating bench scale test work based on customer
process/product within Biotech upstream and downstream; and
Generating technical documents for internal and customer use and
