us! Job Description: Team Overview: The Chief Financial Officer
(CFO) Group is responsible for the overall financial management of
our company. This includes accounting, financial and regulatory
reporting, balance sheet management, financial planning and
analysis, treasury, investor relations, corporate investments and
tax. Global Banking and Markets Finance strives to be a valued
business partner to the company's trading, corporate and
institutional banking businesses. Their first priority is to
operate a series of key control processes to ensure the integrity
of GBAM's financial results. Then they build on these activities to
offer performance insight to business leaders Business Finance
Officers/Control (BFO/BFC) partners directly with Front Office LOBs
providing strategic guidance and insight and performs the product
control function to ensure the integrity of financial results The
team supports the Municipal Banking and Markets (MBAM) Business.
The business makes markets in Tax-Exempt and Taxable structures to
state and local governments and their affiliates. The primary
purposes for raising Municipal debt include General Purpose,
Education, Transportation, Utilities, Housing, Healthcare, and
Power. The business activities include primary issuance for
Municipalities, Secondary Trading, bespoke financing structures,
and lending facilities. The proposed Business Finance and
Controller ("BFC") role will support daily control functions within
the MBAM Trading / Capital Markets / PSB space. The Product
Controller will support: Daily Balance Sheet analysis and
commentary, P&L substantiation to market events, significant
transaction review Monthly close functions, processing of journal
entries, accounting adjustments, reconciliations, reserve and
valuation adjustment calculations Partnering with Trading Desk,
Trade Support, Operations, ECM and other partners on business
support including new product review, accounting assessment, issue
resolution Quarterly management and regulatory reporting including
fair value disclosures, rollforwards, revenue/balance sheet
variance commentary Volcker/Capital related validation activities
such as Volcker balance sheet review, validation of Volcker and
Capital attributes for books to ensure compliance with enterprise
guidelines Working on initiatives to simplify/automate manual
processes This job is responsible for supporting business analysis
for a Line of Business (LOB) by producing all financial reporting
and disclosures in partnership with senior management, front
office, and other business stakeholders. Key responsibilities
include applying knowledge of product(s), processes, and inherent
risks for a product, business or function to analyze and
substantiate Profit and Loss (P&L) attributes and balance
sheets, assist in production of regulatory matters analysis, and
perform critical testing and calculations. Responsibilities:
Supports with preparing and analyzing balance sheets and Profit and
Loss (P&L) reports and validates postings and balances for a
product aligned to a Line of Business (LOB) using knowledge of
financial products, market risk profiles, and risk mitigation
techniques and strategies Performs month-end close and financial
reporting, critical testing and calculations, and periodic analysis
Assists in the development of strategic and annual planning efforts
and implementations and performs profitability analysis,
forecasting, and financial reporting for a product or general
ledger account type Partners closely with the front office,
Operations, and Technology to support defining business finance
processes and implementing related technology solutions Analyzes
regulatory matters, such as the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and
Review (CCAR) and Recovery and Resolutions Plans (RRP), to assess
risk modeling practices within the bank Supports the development of
strategic and annual planning and implementation, performing
profitability analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting for a
product or general ledger account type Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, product
control, and risk management Strong Excel skills, with experience
in analyzing complex financial data Knowledge of financial products
such as loans, bonds, and derivatives Understanding of GAAP, risk
mitigation techniques, and regulatory requirements Excellent
communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills. Ability to
work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced
environment Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
or Finance CPA certification Prior experience in financial
reporting for a trading business or within a CFO organization
Familiarity with FICC products and trading desk operations Skills:

salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and
