-Rushford, one of Connecticut's leading providers of addiction and
mental health services, is a nationally recognized center for
delivering outstanding prevention, treatment and recovery programs.
We offer a wide range of programs including Acute Care and
Evaluation, Residential Addiction Treatment, Individual, Group &
Family Therapy, Intensive Outpatient programs and Community Support

providing affordable and accessible services.Position Summary:The
Vice President of Clinical Operations will develop the strategy for
and oversee the operations of Rushford's Behavioral Health Services
including all levels of care and services. The Vice President will
be accountable for the delivery of efficient, safe, and high
quality care that meets regulatory requirements and promotes a
positive client experience. -Key Accountabilities:
- Analyzes service line needs and opportunities for growth with
regard to business development and new ventures, developing annual
goals and objectives that align with the organization's strategic
direction and Annual Improvement Priorities (APIs)
- Evaluates treatment practices and protocols, in collaboration
with the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Directors and clinical
staff, assuring the use of evidence-based and other proven,
practices in all programs
- Develops effective staffing plans. Provides leadership that
assures the recruitment and retention of a high-performing team of
clinical and support staff. Provides tools necessary for staff
members to be successful in contributing to the achievement of
individual and departmental goals
- Develops and is responsible for annual division and department
budgets, working cooperatively with the CFO and Finance Department.
Determines future resource needs, monitors actual progress, making
adjustments as necessary to stay within budget and allocating
resources to meet a changing environment
- Facilitates effective communications among staff members,
management, and internal and external customers to ensure seamless
services. Seeks opportunities to model teamwork in support of the
organization's objectives and leadership behaviors
- Plays a leadership role in quality and performance improvement
initiatives and incorporates best practices within the clinical
operations
- Oversees positive customer service relationships by identifying
customers and their needs, ensuring customers' needs are met,
responding appropriately to difficult interactions, and educating
staff members on quality customer service. Maintains a positive,
high profile with external and internal referral sources and
funding partners
- Serves as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team,
providing support and assistance to colleagues in achieving
organizational goals and advancing ongoing efforts to continuously
improve the senior leadership team to be a high-performing
teamQualifications
- Master's Degree in Administration, Social Work, Counseling
and/or related field is required
- Connecticut licensure as a LCSW, PhD/PsyD, LPC, LADC, LMFT or
APRN is required
- Ten plus years of leadership experience within behavioral
health preferably in a managed care or private pay environment
- Visible leader with excellent interpersonal communication
skills who relates well with all levels of the organization
- A creative, forward thinking leader with the proven ability to
engage, coach and mentor direct reports, colleagues and other key
stakeholders
- Creative problem-solver with the willingness to take the
initiative in leading change as well as the ability to effectively
manage change
- Strong project planning and problem resolution skills
- Ability to align goals with the strategic goals of the
organization, as well as understand external impacts on internal
strategy
- The ability to leverage the technical expertise of internal and
external resources while managing competing demandsWe take great
