Job Description:
This position is in our Technologies North America Group and
reports directly to the Technologies North America Finance Lead
with dotted line to the Chief Accounting Officer - Corporate. The
Group Controller position is responsible for leading the
accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting for the
division. The role concurrently serves as a partner to the
business, providing leadership and support to the Group Finance and
Executive Leadership team.DUTIES:Manage a team of approximately 20
individuals, including A/R, A/P, G/L.Provide oversight to the
monthly close process, including the application of existing US
GAAP and Mirion accounting policies & procedures as well as the
adoption of new policies and procedures.Provide guidance to
Corporate Accounting on division-specific accounting and finance
related matters.Provide oversight and guidance on quarterly
financial reporting items.Provide oversight and accountability for
internal controls, self-audits and internal audit reports in
support of our Sarbanes Oxley program.Review and approve inventory
accounting controls in the division.Coordinate and compile
quarterly and annual financial accounting and disclosure
reporting.Provide information necessary to support Mirion's ongoing
tax calculations.Support the yearly budget process and monthly
forecasting process lead by FP&A.Prepare monthly variance
analysis commentary for actual results vs forecast for the
Group.Prepare and present a quarterly business review to Group
Leadership.Act as a sounding board for the Group's executive
leadership.Change management champion seeking to drive internal
process improvement and operating efficiencies.Assess accounting
and finance team talent development and succession planning,
including recruiting and training new personnel.ESSENTIAL
REQUIREMENTS:Twelve or more years' experience in the accounting
field, in positions of increasing responsibility.Experience working
in an International based division of a US public Company.SOX
documentation and oversight expertise.Five or more years of
experience leading and managing a team.Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.Continuous improvement and change management
mindset.Experience in manufacturing and POC accounting.Proven
ability to work in a matrix organization.Proficient computer skills
(MS Suite); experience with ERP; and knowledge of SAP a
plus.Requires periodic travel (10-15%).EDUCATION
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or
equivalent experience required.MBA/CPA/CMA a plus but not
